Started comedy career in Boston in early 80s, helping to establish clubs such as The Comedy Connection and the legendary Ding Ho.
Headlined at virtually every comedy club in the U.S., including the ones with dumb names, i.e. FunnyBone. Also played the cool spots: Catch a Rising Star, etc. Moved to Hollywood in the mid-80s, where he became a regular at the Improvisation.
Appeared with Bob "Bobcat" Goldthwait in "Shakes The Clown." Also appeared in "Heartbreak Ridge" with Clint Eastwood and in the TV movie "Incident At Ruby Ridge."
Appeared regularly on "The Tonight Show" with both Carson and Leno.
Starred in his own sitcom, "Bringing Up Jack," which was based on his one-man show "Letters To Declan." "Declan" has played at theaters and corporate events around the U.S. Guest role on "Cheers." One season as writer on "The Gregory Hines Show."
Recently played Larry David's doctor on the HBO series "Curb Your Enthusiasm."
Host of Emmy-award-winning PBS series "Money Moves." Also hosted "Off Limits" on PBS.
